The NL East lead the Toronto Blue Jays held over the New York Yankees has shriveled to just2.5 games after the Yankees took out the Jays 3-7 in the second of a three game home stand. Catcher Brian McCann had a lot to do with the game two victory last night by tying a career high with five RBIs, led by a go-ahead two-run homer off starter Mark Buehrle in the fourth inning, guiding the Yankees to a 7-3 victory.
“Tonight was a good night,” McCann said. “It was about time I chipped in. … It was just nice to contribute on the offensive side for a change.”
