Yankees begin Subway series with rival Mets

The New York Yankees (52-52, 4th AL East)  are visiting Citi Field today and tomorrow to open four games against the New York Mets (54-50, 3rd NL East) before moving back home to the confines of Yankee Stadium.

Expected to take the mound for the Yankees is CC Sabathia (6-8, 3.95 ERA) who will go up against Logan Verrett (3-6, 4.12 ERA).

The two teams have gone through a total reversal of late and the Mets, once envious of Yankee success are the defending NL Champyankees 4ions and are on track to get into the playoffs again this season while the Yankees are again on the outside looking in.
